Big action only happens from Rule Followers in response to Rule Breakers, so you are the primary driving force for change. It’s never fun being a martyr, or watching well meaning folks get crucified by rules upon a wall of No’s. It sucks, it’s demoralizing, and it burns people out. But that sacrifice does have great impact, though usually just not directly.

Have one person try and do something wrong it’s a problem, but have twenty different people all try to do the same wrong thing and it’s an indicator. It’s just as important to show where the need is, as it is to finally field a capability to address it. It’s just never a straight line between the two. But any great change takes great effort to overcome the inertia of the status quo.

For all the Air Force and Space Force folks in the field, continually begging for DAF-wide approved Generative AI capabilities, the time is near. Policy, Strategy, and Capability are right around the corner to start addressing your many needs in major ways. But honestly, what you won’t hear folks tell the Rule Breakers out there enough,
