Time to hang up my spurs, as the final ride of this military innovation cowboy comes to an end…

It’s been a long time coming, but after 23 and half years, my final day has arrived. No long speech, just a heart felt thanks to everyone I had the opportunity to work for and with. I don’t have the words to express my appreciation for all the opportunities I was given by so many.

My only regret is that I can only take this wild ride once. Despite all the pain, loss, and heartache…I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. The people, the mission, and the work made it the ride of a lifetime. I came in wondering if I could, and leave knowing that I did. That is priceless to me on so many levels.

As to what comes next, I’ll talk about that tomorrow, for today it’s just my turn to admire that last beautiful sunset on a long meaningful career.
